Sports Medicine Symposium

The Second Annual Sports Medicine Symposium is geared toward students, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists and medical doctors, addressing injuries and dysfunction in athletes. Course work will include paths for pre-professionals and professionals with a series of joint sessions for all attendees. There will also be three break-out sessions with the opportunity for participants to choose two of the sessions that most interest them. Some topics covered: Female Athlete Triad: Signs, Symptoms and Treatment, Cardiac Sreening Debate for Athletes: Latest Trends and News, Concussion Evolution-One Year Later, Impact Testing as a Return-To-Play Guideline, Role of the Spine in Athletic Excellence, What's Hot and What's Not Regarding the ACL, and Osteochondritis Dessicans.
